I am delighted to announce that I will be releasing my new Hockney-inspired series at our Spring Open House exhibition.  These were created in collaboration with the Royal Academy to celebrate David Hockney’s exhibition.  The result is a collection of glass art, interpreting Hockney’s striking use of light, colour and form.

I have known David Hockney since my early days in Bradford, and I was delighted to have been asked to create works based on his latest exhibition.  Each signed piece is unique.  Homage to Hockney offers a great opportunity for collectors of glass art as well as all Hockney enthusiasts.

The exhibition also includes work by another friend, Sam Herman, a pioneer of Studio Glass during the late '60s.  Sam was former Head of Glass at the Royal College of Art.  He founded Britain’s first public access studio and gallery – the Glass House in Covent Garden – and he is credited with bringing the movement to the UK.

Sam Herman will be demonstrating, assisted by Layne Rowe, on Saturday 24th March and Saturday 31st March, from 11 am to 4 pm.

We look forward to seeing you there.
