London Glassblowing Spring Open House 2014

4th - 13th April

This April, we are pleased to present two stunning and highly contrasting new glass series from London Glassblowing founder, Peter Layton.

Beach (above) is Peter's response to an invitation to exhibit his work in the thriving art scene of St Ives. Tempest (below) was originally inspired by a recent commission for a giant wall platter to be displayed on a luxury yacht.

Please join us for a refreshing spring cocktail and to view the new collections, as well as other work by Peter and his team.  Alongside Gallery pieces you will be able to view a range of Studio pieces at generously reduced prices.

Prices range from £190 - £1700 for Beach and from £420 - £3500 for Tempest.

Opening hours: Mon - Sat: 10am - 6pm

Also open Sunday 10am - 5pm during the Open House

Beach is the artist’s response to an invitation to exhibit his work in the thriving art scene of St Ives. Inspired by the location, Peter uses his characteristic painterly style to capture in glass the spatial and atmospheric qualities of sand, sea and sky.

Tempest was originally inspired by a recent commission for a giant wall platter to be displayed on a luxury yacht. With the subsequent series, Peter aims to evoke the swirling movements of underwater currents and stormy seas and to achieve the mysterious luminosity of the deep.
