Peter Layton is one of the world’s most widely respected glass artists whose colourful, organic forms are instantly recognised and highly collectable.  Celebrating his 75th birthday in 2012, Peter is as enthusiastic and passionate as ever in his pursuit of colour, form, and texture.  That, and his ability to nurture developing talent, has kept the work at London Glassblowing fresh, exciting, and continually evolving.  

Set up in 1976, London Glassblowing Studio and Gallery has become one of Europe’s leading creative hubs for glassmaking.  Peter’s pioneering vision to establish a workshop that would take risks and experiment with glass in an organic fashion, has breathed life and energy into a material previously confined to industrial usage.
